Backend Engineer (Node.js) + Dialer/Telephony/IVR Specialist

We’re building an AI-native omnichannel dialer platform to transform how businesses engage with customers. Our platform integrates voice, SMS, email, and chat to deliver seamless customer interactions. We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with expertise in Node.js and telephony/IVR systems to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and intelligent backend solutions for our communication platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js
- Build RESTful APIs for scalable backend services
- Optimize PostgreSQL and Redis data flow
- Integrate telephony APIs for outbound and inbound calling, SMS, and other communication channels
- Design and implement IVR flows, call routing, and automation features
- Optimize call handling, queuing, and agent management for high concurrency and reliability
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions
- Ensure platform scalability, security, and high performance
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements
- Stay updated with the latest telephony and communication technologies and apply industry best practices
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js
- Strong understanding of telephony systems, telephony APIs, and SIP protocols
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing IVR systems and call routing logic
- Experience working with PostgreSQL and Redis
- Familiarity with databases for storing call data, logs, and user information
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
